Twinings’ story starts in 1706 when Thomas Twining decides to buy a coffee house in a very good location on the Strand street and starts selling tea in London. More than 300 years later: the passion for tea is still there. Tea is still sold from Thomas Twining’s Shop at Strand, 216 and we are constantly working to offer our tea lovers new tea blends. Nowadays Twinings exports to over 100 countries and offers more than 600 different tea blends from well-known classic Earl Grey to delicious exciting fruit and herbal infusions and high-end specialty blends. Twinings 5 Master Blenders (Tea Experts) sample over 3,000 cups of tea each week. They ensure that consumers get the appropriate Twinings quality and the cup of today tastes the same as yesterday’s.
